Updates

I did some tweaking to my Commissions page; I've put the book covers into a separate section, and I've added a new finished commission to the page, as well. The completed book cover for "All Just Glass" is now live on Amazon.com, but the resolution is rather low. I want to wait for a better resolution image to become available so that I can replace the image I currently have on the site without the title and author name.

I received some amazing news recently; one of my works, Black Widow, was chosen to be printed in Ballistic Publishing's upcoming edition of "Expose". This is a very big deal, since this is one of the biggest digital art publications in the world. I am hoping this kind of exposure will open a lot of doors for me.New works have been added to Photomanipulation, Digital Paintings, and Photography on the Portfolio page. I've also added a commission that I finished a while ago. I have a few more commissions that will be posted as soon as they're done. I have also submitted my work to several magazines; here's to hoping I get more of my artwork in print!

I've added a new digital painting to my Portfolio page, and I've gotta say, I'm very proud of this one. It was painted entirely without references and using only round brushes. I'm motivated now to do another one, so there will likely be a new painting to add within the next week.

New work has been added to both Photomanipulations and Make-up on the Portfolio page. There is a slight chance I might have another book cover in the works, this time with Leucrota Press. Still waiting on them to write me back and see if my price offer is OK with them. Stay tuned!

There's a lot of updates this time around. Unfortunately, my computer's hard drive failed a few weeks ago. However, my new job as the photographer in an abstract metal art studio, Statements2000, has allowed me the opportunity to take home the laptop I was given to use at work. (Thanks, Jon!)New additions have been made to Photomanipulations, Photography, and Mixed Media on the Portfolio page. I have also added the image that was commissioned by Random House for the upcoming novel, All Just Glass, to my Commissions page. I figure I'll use that as a placeholder until the finished cover is made public.

Three new Mixed Media pieces have been added to the Portfolio page. I've also added one new image to both the Photomanipulation section and the Photography section. Good news regarding Random House: seems they were very happy with the cover I dreamed up for them, and they only required minor changes and edits. I've already sent off the (hopefully) final edition of the piece, so we'll see how that goes.
Edit: I've also added one of my recent Commissions to the site.

My work has been included in the most recent publication by CGWaves Publishing, Amazing Events. I've added a small preview of the feature to the Press section of my CV. I will also be featured in Advanced Photoshop magazine's next issue as part of the Reader's Gallery. As soon as I am able, I will add a small screenshot of that feature, as well.
In other news, I have finished the first commission out of the five that I was recently hired for. As soon as I get the OK from all the models, and they are happy with the final result, I will add it to my Commissions section.

I finished a collaboration with my good friend Amela B. today, and I've just finished uploading it to the Collabs section of my Portfolio page.

Even more updates. I wanted to show more range in my photography, so I have replaced all the images in the Photography section on my Portfolio page with mostly non-self portrait photos. The self-portraits now have their own section right below Photography.

Voila! A new lyaout has been put up. I'm going to be VERY busy with commissions in the next few weeks, so I took this opportunity to re-vamp the site. I wanted a much cleaner and even more simple design than what I had before. As you will see, I removed all the headers I'd been using, and cut out about 40% of the code in my CSS document. Phew! I also went with a primarily grayscale layout, since I felt that the overwhelming amount of turquoise in the previus layout was clashing with the artwork.I've also moved all the announcements and updates from 2009 and back into an archive, and removed them from the main page. It was starting to look a little cluttered. I am still in the process of deciding what else to put on the main page. I am considering making a small flash animation with some of my work as a small preview. But we'll see how that goes.
I was recently contacted by Advanced Photoshop magazine, and they are going to print three more of my works in their next issue. As soon as I can get my hands on that, and get some scans, I'll be adding it to the Press section.

A new year means new additions to the site! I've added four new works to my Commissions page, one of them being the cover of Amelia Atwater-Rhodes upcoming omnibus "The Shapeshifters". The cover features my work "Dirige", which you can view without all the writing here: Dirige.
I've been trying to decide on a new layout for the site, but still in keeping with the setup I currently have. This has been one of the most functional and easy-to-edit layouts I've ever made. Keep on the lookout for a possible new layout in the future.
