The book cover for Amelia Atwater-Rhodes latest book, featuring my work "Verwandlung", is now uploaded to the commissions section.

I have updated most of my galleries and added about 6 or 7 new works. I've been quite busy these past two months, what with finally graduating and becoming part of the alumni elite. Heh. I put up some brand new banners in the links section. I realized that "bitch in black" is fine for a screenname or handle, but maybe not the best name for a company. Hence, my name will simply be the business name, as well.

One of my artworks will be appearing on the cover of Amelia Atwater-Rhodes newest release, The Den of Shadows Quartet book. It will be released some time in October, but you can currently pre-order a copy on Amazon.com.

As you can plainly see, I have put up a new site layout. I wanted to make my life a lot easier, so I compressed what was originally an over 20 page site into 7 managable and much more organized pages. The header and footer are portions of a piece I created recently, titled "The Fury". I will be uploading it to the site shortly, as soon as I get all the permissions in order. So please, have a look around, and let me know what you think! =)

Do not worry. I have not forgotten my site. ;) I have simply been busy getting ready for my BFA show coming up in March. I have updated my Paintings section with a new work, and I've added an amazing new press release. Advanced Photoshop printed one of my favorite works on a full page spread in their magazine, with two more works playing smaller parts near the bottom of the page. I extend my deepest thanks to them for supporting my art.

My very first personal blog is now up and running (after an entire day of coding and designing and hair-pulling). I have changed the first link under Biography: The link for "Life" is now a link to my blog at blog.mirandaadria.com. Clicking both this link and the one under Biography will open the blog in a new window. Ixnay on that. I added a button that is more easily accesible, right in the main menu.

Please take the time to leave a comment on my blog, even if it's to tell me that 2+2=4. I worked very hard on my blog and it would be a shame if no one even commented on it. ;)

Hooray! New domain for Miranda. I decided it was time to really get down to business with my site. After doing some price-hunting and research, I finally decided on LunarPages.com. They had the best deal around, so it was a very easy choice.

As you can see, I have also put up a new layout. I grew tired of the old one (faster than I normally do) and started fiddling around in Photoshop. Many thanks to the much more talented designers that inspired this layout: Carl06, FIAMdesigns, Calabur, and James.

I'm currently fighting with the flexcroll coding for custom scrollbars. It keeps giving me hassle. I've written to the creator to see if perhaps he can help me figure out the problem.

I've added a new piece to my Digital Paintings section. The newest work is titled "Black Bullet" and it is part of an ongoing three part series. I'm currently working on part three.

I have also added a new section to Biography which showcases my exhibitions and gallery shows. Two of my artworks were chosen to be part of Art Basel 2008: "Take a Bow" as part of the Midtown Fence Project and "Falling Apart".

The Links pages has been updated with new artists and noteworthy sites.

Photomanipulations has two new images and Mixed Media has one new image. I am also contemplating adding another section for my films and animations, but we'll see how much server space I have.

To all those who have sent me Q*Bee Trade patch requests, I apologize profusely, but you will have to send them again. My PHP for the mailer was acting up due to some bad coding on my part, but now it is fixed. Again, sorry for the inconvenience.
Updates to the gallery will be done tomorrow around the afternoon.

Welcome to my site. Hope you enjoy your visit. It's been quite some time since my site has been up, but at last, the new and improved Bitch In Black is ready for business.

Since my life has become much more goal-oriented and I have become more mature overall, this site won't be quite like it used to be. It is now both my personal site and my online portfolio so that fellow artists, curators, critics, writers, musicians, (hopefully) potential clients, and fans in general will be able to see my artwork.
